Soffit & Fascia Installation FAQs
Do Soffit & Fascia Need to Be Replaced When I Replace My Roof?
Not necessarily. If your existing soffit and fascia are still in good condition, they may remain in place. During a roof assessment, we can assess these components for rot, water damage, deterioration, or other issues and recommend replacement only when the condition warrants it.
Can Damaged Fascia Affect My Gutters?
Yes. Gutters are commonly attached along the fascia, so deteriorated or damaged fascia can affect how securely the gutter system is supported. If we find fascia damage during your roofing project, we can determine whether replacement should be coordinated with new roofing and, when appropriate, new gutters.
Can New Soffit Improve My Attic Ventilation?
It can, depending on how your attic ventilation system is designed. Vented soffit can provide intake ventilation that allows outside air to enter the attic, working with exhaust ventilation higher on the roof. During your roof replacement, we can evaluate how the soffit fits into the overall roof ventilation system.
